In Southeast Asia, Vietnam, with its 45 million motorcycles and only a 9% electrification rate, has emerged as one of the most promising markets for electric two-wheelers in the region.

According to public data, in 2023, Vietnam's sales of two-wheeled electric vehicles surpassed 800,000 units. Supported by the government’s net zero emissions targets and "oil-to-electric" policies, electric vehicles are rapidly gaining traction locally due to their energy efficiency and low maintenance costs, with the industry experiencing a growth rate of over 30%.

At the 135th Canton Fair and the Asiabike Jakart inIndonesia, TAILG’s long-range electric two-wheelers garnered global acclaim for their youthful, innovative design and advanced technology platform. At the Asiabike Jakart, the brand was honored by a visit from the Indonesian President, who praised its achievements.

At the inauguration ceremony of the Vietnam base, Chen Yingsheng, Vice President of TAILG Group and President of the Overseas Business Division, stated that building on the Group’s 20 years of technological expertise, it has established a global integrated strategy covering R&D, production, marketing, and branding.
The commissioning of the Vietnam base will not only meet local consumer demand for electric two-wheelers but also lay a solid foundation for expanding into the Southeast Asian market.

From economic trends and policy support to demographic dividends and consumer demand, Vietnam, with its population of 100 million, is not only a market of great potential but also a vibrant one, especially among the under-35 age group.

Xiao Tianbao, Director of the Vietnam Division of TAILG's Overseas Business, believes that Vietnam is currently in the early stages of transitioning from gasoline to electric vehicles, presenting a prime opportunity for the industry and its players.
台铃海外越南战区总监肖天宝认为,越南目前正处在油车转电车的初期阶段,对于行业和从业者来说,将会是最好的机会。


To support customer growth and seize this opportunity, the Vietnam regional team has announced a three-year strategy focusing on platform development, store performance enhancement, and service upgrades, aiming to establish a localized, empowerment-oriented marketing model.
